Piwigo is a full-featured, ergonomic and intuitive tool managed by an attentive and responsive team. We were pleased with its 100% customizable interface. Piwigo is a good internal communication tool, allowing us to share the life of our projects in images, and facilitates collaboration with our service providers: communication agency, photographer.

I love photography, I travel and shoot various events and so I have quite a number of photos to manage. Coming from those primitive directory-based PHP scripts, I realized I need more. Albums, tags, geo-tagging, privacy management, virtual albums, user management… And all that self-hosted. And thus, I've invited Piwigo to my life. Piwigo has all the functionality I need and it's under an active development so it's continuously improving. I love Piwigo because it's fairly easy to install and then manage, easy to backup, and it's free-and-open-source software.

I run a small gallery with pictures from car races. I tried different platforms but thanks to Piwigo I found what I need. It is intuitive to use, I don't need IT knowledge to be able to use this gallery efficiently. The software efficiently uses my old IT equipment, working on it surprisingly well for several years.

Over the last 20 years, development has never ceased to offer improvements, and the ability to develop plugins is a remarkable asset, as the developer community is active and you'll always find something that works for you, and if you wish you can also ""get your hands dirty"" to customize to the extreme. The database is robust and will handle hundreds of thousands of photos with ease. Well done to the Piwigo team for 20 years of tireless work!
